Tips for Brides: Getting the most from Bridal Fairs

by admin on Dec.04, 2008, under Articles, Bridal Show

Welcome the world of wedding planning! For some of you who just started, you’re probably a little bit overwhelmed with what you’re suppose to do. No worries because there’s plenty of resources now that can be found online but the best resource is when you attend the bridal fairs in your area! You can speak to the vendors directly, see, feel and even take home free samples, discounts and other promotions plus more! So to get the most out of your next bridal fair, keep in mind the following:

Register when you enter the show. People think about junk mail/email and unwanted solicitation but I think of it as an opportunity! Opportunity to win prizes that is. Plus vendors usually follow up with you via mail/email for money saving discounts after the show.

Remember to bring pre-adhesive labels. This will save you so much time when you register at individual booths for prizes. Make sure to include your wedding date and contact information.

Bring your checkbook/credit card in case you want to book any services or hold a date. Huge discounts and other incentives are usually given the day of. For example, we offered a $500 Macy’s Gift Card right on the spot for those who book with us and we got 2 of them at the last show!

When you enter, you are usually given a nice bag to carry around. Grab all the information you are interested in, take it home and look through it over again at your leisure.

Plan to spend anywhere from 2-4 hours, especially if there are a lot of exhibitors. If you’re wedding is at least 6-12 months away, plan on attending multiple bridal shows, preferably at least 2. This gives you a chance to see what you really need to see. Bring your fiancé with you for at least one trip to the event, and then go again with your Mother and/or girlfriends.

Ask lots of questions, that’s what the vendors are there for. Zero in on 2-3 type of vendors and then go online and print the “top 10 questions you may want to ask a Photographer…DJ…Event Planner…etc…”. This way you’re focused and after your first show, you’ll feel better accomplishing it!

Keep in mind that there’s no such thing as a perfect wedding, even if you have a budget of a million dollars. So don’t stress, wear comfortable shoes and have a fantastic time!

If you see our booth, come by and say hello! We’d love to see you!

Happy Thanksgiving!

by admin on Nov.27, 2008, under Articles, Landscapes

Thanksgiving is a time for togetherness… it’s an occasion to be spent in the warm and loving company of family, loved ones and friends enjoying turkey roast and pumpkin pies with them. Thanksgiving is also an opportunity to renew the ties that bind us with the ones we love… it is a time for remembering, cherishing and being thankful for all the good things you have been blessed with. So it’s time to say ‘Happy Thanksgiving’-
